Public Program: Calibration & Instrumentation Tech

Calibration of Mechanical Instrument-INST300

Objective
• This is designed to provide participants good theoretical knowledge, understanding and practical skill the field calibration and to be competent in their calibration activities.

Training Outline
• This two days training provides to understanding of methodology of calibration of mechanical instruments. This course commences with a brief of some basic terminology, system of unit, measurement standards, traceability and types of errors. The course then covers calibration standards and documents affecting the calibration instrument. A brief review is made of measurement uncertainty. The course also cover calibration equipment and techniques, starting with discussion of uncertainty relevant instruments i.e pressure gauge, pressure transmitter, pressure switch, pressure transducer and pressure calibrator. This course provides the information on how to meet the compliance requirement for measuring system. Calibration concepts and the theory are combined with hand on training including hand on calibration and calibration requirements with emphasis on ISO 10012, ISO/IEC17025, ISO 9001:2005 and ISO/TS 16949. Participants will learn to developed and documents calibration and measurement assurance program and access capability.

Practical Training
• The practical training will concentrate on the principal understanding and practical equipment. The participants will experience the proper method of calibration the equipment and how to calculate its results and to present in the calibration certificate.

Who Should Attend
• Measurement and calibration personal
• Engineer or executive involved with measurement and calibration
• Individual involved with in-house calibration system
• Personal responsible for establishing to meet ISO 9000:2000, ISO/TS 16494

Duration : 4 days
Time : 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
Venue : JOHOR SKILLS
Methodology : Lecture, hands-on, open discussions, practical demonstration
